Open Tree Map: A Tree Tracking App for Your Phone
The public is invited to watch Tree Balboa Park’s progress and learn interesting facts about all the park’s trees by downloading the OpenTreeMap app at the Google Play or iTunes store and select “San Diego Tree Tracker” to begin exploring (or view in your web browser). After zooming in on the Balboa Park area of the map, tap on a specific tree location to learn the tree’s name, dimensions, condition, environmental benefits profile, and more. San Diego Botanic Garden Tour
“To inspire people of all ages to connect with plants and nature.” The San Diego Botanic Garden offers a variety of self guided, adult group tours, and youth group tours. A docent guided general tour is offered every Saturday; meet at the Visitor’s Center/Gift Shop. No reservations required. Free with admission.

The Water Conservation Garden TOUR
Admission is free and visitors of all ages can explore The Garden on a self-guided tour on nearly six acres of displays, exhibits, and landscapes highlighting water conservation and water-wise plants.
A docent led tour meets at the Plaza on the first Saturday of every month. Children’s fieldtrips, group garden tours, and ADA shuttle tours are available upon request.
