OpenTreeMap: A Tree Tracking App for
Your Phone

The public is invited to watch Tree Balboa Park’s progress and learn interesting facts about all the park’s trees by downloading the OpenTreeMap app at the Google Play or iTunes store and select “San Diego Tree Tracker” to begin exploring (or view in your web browser). After zooming in on the Balboa Park area of the map, tap on a specific tree location to learn the tree’s name, dimensions, condition, environmental benefits profile, and more. Deeper content and a full report on the park’s tree inventory will be updated periodically.

SAN DIEGO BOTANIC GARDEN TOUR

“To inspire people of all ages to connect with plants and nature.” San Diego Botanic Garden has reopened for reservations only to both members and visitors during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit SDBGarden.org for more information and to make reservations.

The Water Conservation Garden TOUR

Admission is free and visitors of all ages can explore The Garden on a self-guided tour on nearly six acres of displays, exhibits, and landscapes highlighting water conservation and water-wise plants.
A docent led tour meets at the Plaza on the first Saturday of every month. Children’s fieldtrips, group garden tours, and ADA shuttle tours are available upon request. Reservations are required, contact 619-660-0614, ext. 16.
